The pro-life movement isn’t only exploding in America, it’s happening in Israel as well. Messianics are leading the way to fight against abortion in the Holy Land, many pro-Israel Believers in the West are not aware about this issue in Israel; many assume the abortion rates are probably low because, ‘it’s the Holy Land’, but this is an incorrect assumption. Two MILLION babies have been aborted in Israel since 1948. This is nearly ONE THIRD of Israel’s current population. Only 40% of the Israelis questioned believe abortion is wrong. Be’ad Chaim (a pro-life organization in Israel) commissioned this survey, the first of it’s kind done in Israel. More Israelis have been killed by abortion than by all the wars and terrorism attacks in Israel’s modern history combined.

Torah Light/Beit Aveinu have friends in Israel who provide practical help and support for needy families who choose to keep their babies despite financial hardship. We want to be a part of this! Messianics are talking to people on the streets and talking to the media about this issue trying to change the minds of the public. A hotline has also been made available to women who are considering an abortion where they can talk to a pro-life counselor and get good council and support. There is a saying in the Talmud which states “If you save the life of one Jew, you have saved the world”. It’s a reference to the fact that one Jew may end up being the Moshiach. Though we, as Believers, know the Moshiach has already been born, we can apply this same logic to great Biblical characters who will live in the End Times, perhaps one of the Two Witnesses?
