Shalom! My name is Dawn Provencher, and I have been a member of Beit Aveinu for eight years. I met Rabbi through our mutual friend, Peter, who took us both with him on a tour of Israel. During those three weeks we formed a bond, and soon I began attending my new Messianic home at the Tacoma satellite of Beit Aveinu. Although Beit Aveinu Tacoma has grown and shrunk and struggled to fund its own location in the diaspora, we enjoy our connection with the Wenatchee congregation and have a lively home fellowship in Gig Harbor. We meet with Rabbi at 1:00 PM on Shabbat via Facebook, and he ventures over the mountains to visit us when he can. This world can be a dark and forbidding place, and I feel so blessed to have Rabbi Stanley Chester always available to help guide me along the straight path. Although we are geographically distant, I know I can contact him for advice or encouragement. And he makes me laugh. He makes my walk easier and shows me why Yeshua’s yoke really is light.
